John Simpson admitted that confidence was something he struggled with early in his NFL career, but his first season in Baltimore completely reshaped how he saw himself as a player. Reflecting on that journey, he credited Baltimore’s winning culture and supportive atmosphere for helping him finally find the mental clarity he needed.
Speaking on “The Lounge” with Ryan Mink and Garrett Downing, Simpson explained just how pivotal that Ravens season was for his growth and self-belief.
“No, it definitely was a long process obviously to get me where I am today. But it was just like a light switch almost. I just needed that. The confidence that I got being here and going through a winning organization just kind of helped me. It showed me how it’s supposed to be done and you get momentum.”
