According to sources, the club opted not to rush Mbappé back, especially given that Madrid has little chance of competing for the league title. His absence follows controversy surrounding his trips to Italy and France during his recovery days. Mbappé had been averaging a goal against Barcelona every 67 minutes, making his absence a significant blow for Los Blancos.
Mbappé did not complete Saturday’s training session at Valdebebas and failed to pass the fitness test on Sunday.
