The Hanwha bats exploded early. In the top of the first inning, with the bases loaded, Noh Si-hwan crushed a grand slam off Kiwoom starter Bae Dong-hyun, giving Hanwha an immediate 4-0 lead. An additional sacrifice fly pushed the score to 5-0 by the end of the inning.
The offense continued to pile on. Peraza Jonathan collected three hits, Moon Hyun-bin added three hits and an RBI, and Kang Baek-ho smashed a solo home run among his three hits and three RBIs. Noh finished the day with three hits, a grand slam, and five RBIs.

Kiwoom attempted a comeback in the middle innings. After being held scoreless for three innings, they scratched runs in the fourth and fifth, cutting the deficit to 8-3. However, Hanwha answered immediately. Kang Baek-ho’s solo home run in the sixth restored the nine-run lead, and despite Kiwoom scoring once more in the eighth, Hanwha put the game away with an RBI single from Moon Hyun-bin in the ninth, sealing the 11-5 final.
