The Shanghai Sharks have made a dominant statement in the CBA playoffs, sweeping the Shandong team 2-0 in the quarterfinals to secure a spot in the semifinals with relative ease. The series victory highlighted the team’s exceptional depth and talent.

According to the CBA playoff schedule, the Sharks will host the first game of the semifinals on May 17. Their opponent will be the winner of the series between the Guangdong Southern Tigers and the Beijing Ducks. To prepare for this crucial matchup, the team has entered an intense training regimen.

Notably, the Sharks have officially begun selling tickets for the semifinal home games. Surprisingly, tickets for Game 1 sold out almost immediately, while only a limited number of the lowest-priced C-grade tickets remain for Game 2. The championship-aspiring Sharks are already seeing a financial windfall from ticket sales.
The ticket pricing is structured into seven tiers:
– Courtside VIP: 2,670 yuan
– Courtside seats: 2,370 yuan
– Parent-child package (1+1): 870 yuan
– 670 yuan
– 470 yuan
– 270 yuan
– Senior discount (ages 60+): 100 yuan
The Sharks play at the Shanghai Indoor Stadium, which has a capacity of approximately 12,000 seats. Based on the ticket prices and venue capacity, a single semifinal home game could generate around 8 million yuan in ticket revenue, and two home games could bring in approximately 16 million yuan. It’s a bumper harvest for the team this season, with both on-court success and financial gains.
Looking back, just a few years ago when the Sharks struggled, attendance was sparse and the arena was often nearly empty. But this season, as the team kept winning, more and more fans have come to watch games, frequently packing the stadium to full capacity.
This clearly shows that the key to attracting more fans to the arena is consistent winning. What do you think?
