Paris Saint-Germain secured a spot in the Champions League final after a 1-1 draw against Bayern Munich in the second leg of the semifinals on Wednesday. Ousmane Dembélé opened the scoring for the visitors in the third minute, while Harry Kane equalized for Bayern deep in stoppage time (90+4′). The aggregate score ended 6-5 in favor of the French side, following their 5-4 victory in the first leg.
According to Squawka, the match marked a milestone for Marquinhos. The 31-year-old made his 121st appearance in the Champions League, surpassing the previous record held by Brazilian legend Roberto Carlos, who played 120 games for Real Madrid and Fenerbahçe. Marquinhos has spent his entire Champions League career at PSG, joining the club in 2013 after spells with Corinthians in Brazil and Roma in Italy.
This is PSG’s third-ever Champions League final appearance, having previously reached the showpiece event in the 2019/20 and 2024/25 seasons. The Parisian club has one win and one loss in finals, notably thrashing Inter Milan 5-0 last year to claim the trophy.
PSG will face Arsenal in the final, after the English side defeated Atlético Madrid 1-1 (1-0 on aggregate) in the other semifinal. The decisive match is scheduled for May 30 at the Puskás Aréna in Budapest.
